We started Holiday Cruises and Tours in Tallahassee, Florida in 1993.
Since the opening of our store, we have traveled around the world including countries throughout Europe, the British Isles, the Caribbean, Hawaii, South Pacific, Central and South America, Australia, New Zealand and Russia. We believe that traveling is educational and inspirational, and meeting people from around the world is personally, both fulfilling and fun.
We have two married daughters who love to travel as well. Kristen, our oldest, earned her Fine Arts degree from Austin Peay State University and presently is a cruise counselor at Holiday Cruises and Tours. She and her husband, Joe, live in Tallahassee.
Jessie is a licensed cosmetologist and is also the web master for Holiday Cruises and Tours. She and her husband, Stuart Atkinson, live in Bainbridge, Georgia, and they have given us a precious grandson, Oathen, who is pure joy to us.
Carol teaches piano, pilates and works part time at Holiday Cruises & Tours. Phil takes pleasure in creating new ideas for the business. He also likes to spend time at the beach house at St. George Island. Phil and Carol enjoy traveling together and spending time with new friends, family and grandson, Oathen.

I am originally from Glens Falls, New York in the Adirondacks. I spent eight years in the U.S. Navy, living in Puerto Rico and Rota, Spain. I came to Tallahassee in 1985. I graduated from FSU in 1988 with a degree in International Affairs. I met Evelyn, my wife, in 1989 and we were married in 1993. We have two beautiful daughters, Anna who is 13 and Samantha is 8.
I started working with Holiday Cruises & Tours in November of 1994. Since then I have sailed on over 50 cruises, everything from the Brittanis to my most recent cruise aboard Holland America's Oosterdam to Alaska. This completed Cruise Line's International Associations Elite Cruise Counselor Course. I continue to taking online courses to keep up with the travel industry. I am currently working on the Australian Specialist Program.
Each year I host a cruise for our Signature Collection. This year the cruise is aboard the Holland America Eurodam for 10-nights roundtrip Copenhagen. I would love to have you join me.
My pleasure comes in knowing that my clients have had a wonderful cruise experience. This means I did my job for you, the cruiser. I look at cruising as a great way to see the world and experience many different cultures and people. Travel is one of the best educational experiences a child or adult can have. I enjoy spending time with my family and watching the girls grow (sometimes too fast). I also enjoy traveling, all forms of auto racing, music, cooking and relaxing to Jimmy Buffett Caribbean music, a hammock, good food and a Captain Morgan.

Hello! My name is Shelley Atkinson. I've been in Tallahassee for 38 years. I am originally from Jacksonville. I was lucky enough to meet a local boy Bill Atkinson, marry him, and thirty years later still be happily married. We have two grown daughters. Meredith Fogle married to Glen, who has blessed us with a beautiful granddaughter named Faith Elizabeth. My other daughter is Laura-Lee Henry. Laura-Lee is married to Bryan Henry. Bryan is a pitcher in a minor league for the Arizona Diamondbacks. We are very proud of him.

I enjoy creating this website and appreciate being able to work for my parents. I am a graduate from Tallahassee Community College with my Associate in Arts Degree. My dad took our family to Alaska when I was 16 and also took us on a Mediterranean Cruise when I was 15. I fell in love with Italy and can't wait to go back. I have been all over the Caribbean, around Mexico, the Mediterranean, Alaska, and Hawaii. I am fortunate to have been all over the world at such a young age. I love Tallahassee! I was born and raised here and have family here. I'm a true Seminole Fan! In my free time I like to stay active doing many things, including travel. Hi! I'm Ruth and have lived in Tallahassee for the past 25 years. I was born and raised in Camilla, GA, where I began my teaching career. Yes, I'm a retired educator with 30 years in the classroom and administration. After leaving Camilla for Tallahassee, I spent the rest of my teaching years in Bainbridge. My husband Chuck and I have 3 wonderful children: Lauren, who is married to Duane and lives in Jacksonville with their daughter emma; Charlie, who attends TCC and works part-time; and Katie, who attedns Chiles High School. My parents always took our family on vacations when I was growing up, so I have always loved to travel. When Chuck and I married, I started a new tradition of taking him on a surprise trip each year as an anniversary gift. He never knows where we're going and I have the most fun planning something new each year. We also plan family trips and have visited Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Italy and many places in the USA. Our most recent family trip was to Alaska---one of the most beautiful places in America. Our 25th anniversary trip was to Montana for a "glamping" experience.
