Friday, June 5 - LONDON ARRIVAL

After landing at London Heathrow Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Your tour guide will welcome you to England and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next, set off on a guided tour to see some of London's best-known landmarks. View the West End, Piccadilly Circus and much more. Stop to visit Big Ben, which looks spectacular at night when the clock faces are illuminated. The bell was named after the first commissioner of works, Sir Benjamin Hall. Then, drive through Trafalgar Square where the National Gallery and St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church is located. Continue on to visit Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of Britain's sovereigns since 1837. Today, it is the Queen's official residence. Friday, June 5 - STONEHENGE

This morning, travel through the beautiful and hilly countryside of the Cotswolds. Here, the houses are mainly built of the local honey-colored stone and see quaint villages, which have remained almost unchanged for 200 years. Stop to visit Castle Combe, which is sometimes referred to as the "Prettiest Village in England." Then, continue into Bath and stop to visit the Roman Baths, which are over 2,000 years old and one of the best-preserved Roman sites north of the Alps. Also visit the Pump Room, which dates from 1795, and is one of the most famous buildings in the country. Adjacent, in the churchyard, is Bath Abbey, which was built in the 16th century and was constructed to replace the ruinous Norman Cathedral. Next, continue on to visit Stonehenge, one of Britain's most celebrated monuments. Set on Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge is comprised of the remains of a double circle of monoliths, which dates from approximately 3000 B.C. It is believed to have been used by the ancient Druids for sun workship or as a burial ground. Return to your hotel in London for a free evening.

After breakfast, drive into Windsor and stop to visit Windsor Castle, the official residence of The Queen. Covering thirteen acres, this is the largest inhabited castle in the world.
