Hi! I'm Ruth and have lived in Tallahassee for the past 32 years. I was born and raised in Camilla, GA, where I began my teaching career. Yes, I'm a retired educator with 30 years of the classroom and administration. After leaving Camilla for Tallahassee, I spent the rest of my teaching years in Bainbridge. My husband Chuck and I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. My parents always took our family on vacations when I was growing up, so I have always loved to travel. When Chuck and I married, I started a new tradition of taking him on a surprise trip each year as an anniversary gift. He never knows where we're going and I have the most fun planning something new every year. We also plan family trips and have visited Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Italy, and many places in the USA. Our most recent family trip was to Alaska--one of the most beautiful places in America. Our 25th Anniversary trip was to Montana for a "glamping" experience.
